What’s inside.

From the next match round the corner to a weekend with three grounds. All of it as it is in the app today.

1Finding matches

What’s on,
and where?

Every match on the map, from a Bundesliga night to Sunday league on the village pitch.

Ground page with name, club, pitches and directions
  • OverviewThe next match near you, big, with more below. Plus your club, your next trip, your tally and anniversaries of your visits. You set the radius with a slider.
  • MapPick a date range, filter, mark the grounds you want to visit with a heart. Club crests in the pins if you like. Where there are lots of matches, the map groups them.
  • Leagues by typeInstead of ticking hundreds of leagues one by one: which level (pro down to the lowest tier), men or women, youth or not, league, cup or friendly.
  • GroundCurrent name, traditional name, former names, the club, side pitches, prices and directions. Big sports parks list their individual pitches underneath.
  • MatchdayTap a league and matchday to see every fixture. If a match is moved or called off, Hoppster lets you know.
  • Report a mistakeA ground is missing, a name is wrong? Report it right there on the ground page. With an account you can follow what happened to it in the app.
  • Car or trainA day plan with “leave at … / back at …” and the distance. By train it follows the timetable, with a link to bahn.de. “Also fits in” finds more matches along the way.
  • Trip plannerEnter dates and how long you want to be away; Hoppster looks for matches that fit together. As a timeline, sortable, with a preview. When it gets tight, you see the route and the buffer.
  • What it costsFuel or train, tickets, a place to stay – a rough estimate, and whether you’ll need a night away. You set the assumptions yourself.
  • On the roadRoute in Apple Maps or Google Maps, a reminder before you leave, an entry in your calendar.
  • Wishlist tourYour wishlist of grounds and clubs – and when the grounds on it fit into a trip.
  • Share tripsSend a link, invite friends. Anyone without the app sees the matches in their browser.

3Logbook

Match by
match.

Your collection, with everything that goes with it.

Logbook with progress and stats
  • VisitsPick the match, add stars and a report. Plus photos, who you went with, “Touched the ball” and “Confirmed on site”.
  • TicketsA ticket collection in your logbook. Take a photo and the app reads price, block, row, seat, date and teams – on the iPhone, nothing goes online for it.
  • StatsTap any number to dig in. Progress per league, a map of your countries, every entry with filters.
  • PatchesPatches for milestones, countries, leagues and moments like floodlights, a derby or New Year. Plus your own patches built from your grounds. All patches
  • Your hopper yearYour year in review to swipe through: matches, new grounds and countries, goals, your league and ground of the year, the longest trip. Every card can be shared as an image.
  • ClubsA club is one club: Werder Bremen appears once, with all seven of its teams underneath. You can have more than one favourite club.
  • BackupSave your whole logbook with photos and tickets as one file and read it back in. With an account it’s also stored on our server in Frankfurt.
  • FeedThe matches and reports of the people you follow. With hearts, comments and a bell for notifications.
  • RankingAmong friends, all-time and per season. On a ground page you see who’s already been – if they allow it.
  • Who sees whatEach report on its own: public, followers, friends or private. Block and report on every post; “Hide me” makes you invisible.

5Moving over

Your logbook
comes along.

Been collecting in another app for years? Export your visits once as a file and read it into Hoppster. Date, ground, clubs, score and league come with it.

  • FutbologyProfile, gear icon, export as CSV. Hoppster recognises the format, even when ground and club are stuck together in one line.
  • Footbeen, myGrounds, Groundhopper AppExport in that app and choose the file in Hoppster. The help in the app tells you where to find the export.
  • Excel or NumbersYour own list as a CSV with a header row. Hoppster recognises the columns by name – date, ground, home, away, score, note.
  • While importingKnown grounds go straight onto the map; unknown ones you match up in one step. Duplicates are skipped. Nothing is uploaded.

6Small print

  • CountriesGermany is built in; download more countries as packs. Countries already in your logbook come by themselves.
  • LanguageGerman and English – or whatever your iPhone is set to.
  • iPhoneiOS 18 or later, so iPhone XS and XR onwards. Android is in the works.
