Hoppster is free, with no ads and no subscription. To keep it that way for everyone, a few rules apply. The same version is in the app under Account → Terms of use.
As of: 21 September 2026
1. What this is about
Hoppster is an app for groundhoppers: find matches, plan trips, record visits in your logbook and connect with others. The provider is Philipp Stach (see legal notice). These terms apply when you use the app.
2. Account
The app works without an account. Anyone who creates one needs a valid email address and must be at least 16 years old. Sign-in details are personal and must not be passed on. When registering, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
3. What is not allowed
- insults, hate speech, calls for violence, discrimination
- uploading content you do not have the rights to
- deliberately reporting false information about grounds or matches
- scraping, disrupting or overloading the app or the server by automated means
- advertising and anything intended to make money
4. Your content
Reports, photos and ratings remain yours. You only grant us the right to show them in the app as you set for each report: public, followers, friends or nobody. If you withdraw a post or delete your account, it is gone.
5. Reporting and blocking
Every post and every comment can be reported in the app via ⋯, and every hopper can be blocked. We review reported content within 7 days. If content breaks these rules or applicable law, we hide it; for serious or repeated breaches we suspend the account. Anyone affected receives a short statement of reasons from us in the app and can object by email to info@hoppster.online. Whoever reports is told how we decided. The point of contact for authorities and users under the Digital Services Act is info@hoppster.online (German and English).
6. No guarantee for match data
Kick-off times, venues and results come from third-party sources (OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, API-Football, fussball.de, OpenLigaDB and others). They may be wrong or change at short notice. Check the club’s information before you travel. We are not liable for journeys, tickets or missed matches.
7. Liability
Hoppster is free and provided without any promise of a particular availability. We are liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body and health in accordance with the statutory provisions. In cases of slight negligence we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract.
8. End
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may change or discontinue the service; we will let you know in advance of important changes.
9. Law
German law applies. If the user is a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where they habitually reside remain unaffected.
